Enhancing On-site Management Level & Strengthening the Foundation of Lean Manufacturing

— Huayi Precision Organizes Special 5S Management Training

To thoroughly transform the appearance of the production site and improve the basic management level, our company organized a special on-site 5S management training on May 24, 2025, under the theme “Deepening 5S Management and Creating a Lean Site.” This training is by no means merely a superficial effort like a “spring cleaning” or “rearranging items.” Rather, it is an important initiative for the company’s long-term development and building core competitiveness. The core objectives are to eliminate waste, reduce costs, ensure safety, improve quality and efficiency, and ultimately create an efficient, safe, and一目了然 (highly visible) excellent on-site environment. Taking this as an opportunity, we aim to cultivate a high-quality workforce, shape an outstanding corporate image and cultural foundation, and lay a solid basis for enhancing the company’s brand value.

During the training, EHS Engineer Chen Jian used vivid cases and practical methods to explain in simple terms the core value of 5S management and its feasible implementation steps. For example:

Sort (Seiri) – Each workshop/department focuses on clearing out long-idle materials and equipment, effectively releasing valuable space resources and reducing inventory holding costs.

Set in Order (Seiton) – Set clear positions and labels for all tools, materials, and documents, reducing time spent searching for items, improving work efficiency, and lowering the risk of misuse.

Shine (Seiso) – Not only removes dust and dirt but also serves as a comprehensive equipment inspection, allowing timely detection and handling of potential hazards, thus strongly ensuring production safety.

Standardize (Seiketsu) – Introduce visual management boards to display key indicators and abnormal information in real time, making the site management status visible at a glance and facilitating rapid problem response and resolution.

Sustain (Shitsuke) – Foster a warm and efficient working atmosphere, cultivate outstanding talent, and build a battle-ready team. This is the starting point and ultimate destination of corporate culture.

After explaining these points, he emphasized that the company’s in-depth implementation of 5S management is an important task that concerns the foundation, looks to the long term, and benefits everyone. He encouraged every employee to internalize the 5S requirements and externalize them in action, shifting from “I have to do it” to “I want to do it,” and developing good work habits and discipline.

Through this training, employees gained a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of 5S management. They expressed their willingness to apply the knowledge and skills learned in the training to their actual work, contributing to the company’s lean production.

This training has injected new momentum into the improvement of Huayi Precision’s 5S management level. Moving forward, the company will continue to conduct regular inspections to ensure that 5S requirements are implemented and become habitual. We believe that through persistent practice and improvement by all employees, a clean, efficient, and safe on-site environment will become a solid foundation for the company’s lean production and high-quality development.
